Housekeepers | Gardeners/Groundsmen | Cooks

Code of Conduct = Support Staff

When assigned to a nursing home by Angelbee Nursing Service (ANS) as a service provider you are expected to conduct yourself so that your behavior reflects positively on ANS.

The following outlines the expectations of all nurses/caregivers, housekeepers, gardeners, cooks, and gardener/groundsman assigned a job in a nursing home by ANS.

​

These expectations must be met as long as you remain in the employ of the client and until the relationship is terminated, verbally or in writing, by either you or the management, with two weeks’ notice; after the probationary period or summarily before that.

​

When assigned to a nursing home, you must ensure that you:

​

1.     Respect and observe all the rules, regulations, and protocols of the nursing home in which you are employed.

​

2.     Arrive at work on time and are only absent when necessary.

​

3.     Inform your supervisor of your intent to be absent from duty, in advance, to allow for a replacement to be put in place.

​

4.     Are never absent from duty without seeking approval from the supervisor or report for duty late without advising said supervisor.

​

5.     Complete any job assigned to you, with due care and to the required standard.

​

6.     Maintain polite and respectful relationships with all residents of the home and their significant other(s), your colleagues and supervisors, and anyone you come in contact with when carrying out your duties.

​

7.     Never use threatening or abusive language to anyone while on duty.

​

8.     Never engage in illegal or immoral acts while assigned to a client by ANS.

​

9.     Never use the residents’ property in an unauthorized manner.

​

10.   Never steal or willfully damage or destroy property belonging to residents of the nursing home, your colleagues, or the nursing home.

​

11.   Never take a weapon (knife or gun, legal or illegal) on the job.

​

12.   Never refuse or fail to carry out the instructions of a supervisor without a reason that can be clearly and convincingly explained.

​

13.   Never ignore duties or loaf around during working hours.

​

14.   Take proper care of the client’s tools and equipment.

​

15.   Never hold discussions on matters occurring in the home, with the relatives of the residents of the home unless it is your assigned duty to provide relatives with specific information and where only that information is delivered.

​

16.   Charge your cell phone before arriving at work and only charge it at work where permission was received from management or his/her representative.

​

17.   Never allow or entertain personal visitors while on duty inside the home or outside of the home while accompanying residents.

​

18.   Never enter into any financial arrangement with residents of the nursing home or relatives of residents or their contacts.
