CODE OF CONDUCT | TERMS OF SERVICE 
Nursing Homes - Housekeepers | Gardeners/Groundskeepers/Caretakers | Cooks

Angelbee Nursing and Other Home Care Services' (Angelbee's) service providers (housekeepers | cooks | gardeners/groundskeepers/caretakers | watchmen) are expected to adhere to the highest standard of service and generally to conduct him/herself in a way that reflects positively on Angelbee. Failure to do so will result in remedial action that may include termination of service depending on the severity of the breach involved.

​​Persons representing Angelbee, including management, must take all reasonable actions to ensure that the service provided is acceptable and satisfactory to our clients and his/her significant other(s), which requires that activities are carried out in such a way that the client’s physical and emotional comfort and privacy are maintained; safety is ensured, and respect and positive regard are expressed by the service provider and perceived by the client(s).

​​It is anticipated that service providers embody the "fruit of the spirit," and all that entails - love, joy, peace, happiness, goodness, kindness, humility, and self-control, and take these along with their integrity, skills, and competencies to our clients whenever they are representing Angelbee to ensure that the standards outlined below are maintained.

These standards must be maintained as long as the service provider (you) remain in the employ of the client and until the relationship is terminated, verbally or in writing, by either you or the client, which can be summarily during the probationary period or after the probationary period, with two weeks’ notice.

​

When assigned to a nursing home, service providers (you) must ensure that you:

  1. Respect and observe all rules, regulations, and protocols of the nursing home where you are employed.​

  2. Arrive at work on time and be absent only when necessary.​

  3. Inform your supervisor of your intent to be absent from duty, in advance, to allow for a replacement to be put in place.​

  4. Never be absent from duty without seeking approval from the supervisor or report for duty late without advising said supervisor.​

  5. Complete any job assigned to you, with due care and to the required standard.​

  6. Maintain polite and respectful relationships with all residents of the home and their significant other(s), your colleagues and supervisors, and anyone you come in contact with when carrying out your duties.​

  7. Never use threatening or abusive language to anyone while on duty.​

  8. Never engage in illegal or immoral acts while assigned to a client by Angelbee.​

  9. Never use the residents’ property in an unauthorized manner.​

  10. Never steal or willfully damage or destroy property belonging to residents of the nursing home, your colleagues, or the nursing home.​

  11. Never take a weapon (knife or gun, legal or illegal) to the job.​

  12. Never refuse or fail to carry out instructions of a supervisor without a reason that can be clearly and convincingly explained.​

  13. Never ignore duties or loaf around during working hours.​

  14. Take proper care of the client’s tools and equipment.​

  15. Never hold discussions on matters occurring in the home, with the relatives of the residents of the home unless it is your assigned duty to provide relatives with specific information and where only that information is delivered.

  16. ​Charge your cell phone before arriving at work and only charge it at work where permission was received from management or your supervisor.​

  17. Never allow or entertain personal visitors while on duty inside the home or outside of the home while on duty.

  18. Never enter into any financial arrangement with residents of the nursing home or relatives of residents or their contacts without the involvement and/or approval of the management of the home.​

  19. Never reap produce on the nursing home property unless you have a duty to do so or you are requested to do so by your supervisor and where this occurs, never assume that you have a right to a portion of this produce.

  20. Never sleep on the job except if it is your break time and there is an agreed place where you may sleep.

  21. Never fix yourself a meal using the food stock of the nursing home unless you are offered an opportunity to do so by the management or your supervisor.

  22. Never take gifts or borrow from residents, or charge a resident for running errands, especially if the resident has memory or other mental or emotional problems

​BREACH OF CONTRACT

​

​The service provider will be deemed to be in breach of contract if he/she:

  1. Fails to provide quality assurance, that is, fails to meet or exceed Angelbee Nursing & Other Home Care Services' standards.

  2. ​​Carries out any illegal or immoral acts while performing duties assigned by Angelbee.​

  3. ​Is implicated in any illegal or immoral activities while contracted to Angelbee.

  4. Discusses company (Angelbee's) matters with clients of Angelbee.
